The story began back when I took a job at friend's guitar workshop. I was driven by desire to achieve electric guitar sound that embodied the ideal of sonic perfection. The main goal was to develop proprietary manufacturing techniques - using materials that maximized the product's characteristics and realize that specific sound!
I was well aware that guitar pickups are typically made from readily available components, which makes it impossible to create something truly unique. I wanted more - to transform something as simple as a pickup into ideal energy transducer capable of delivering a unique sound. Aesthetics were also priority. In my view, the product had to be not only attractive but also uniquely designed and, above all, instantly recognizable. It was time to get to work: I assembled my own winding machine, sourced the wire, and fabricated the rods and contact pads - resulting in the first prototypes, which yielded excellent results. I delved deeper into the design, the nuances, and the potential use of various materials, discovering opportunities to enhance quality. Eventually, I found the perfect formula. Over time, I developed my own standard and established workshop. Most importantly, the business successfully launched, and new pickups began shipping to customers. Now I possess all the necessary production resources and manufacture pickups independently of market trends, competition, or any other external factors.
Nightwing can also be found on guitars made by luthier Maxim Kuznetsov. It was largely through close collaboration with him that I gained the necessary knowledge, skills, and extensive experience in this field.
